2016 has been a defining year for me. In fact, 2015 seems almost like a life time ago. The first half of the year was consumed by stress and fear concerning A-levels, but perseverance and occasional birding revision breaks did get me through it, and offered a distraction from the mind numbing boredom. And having finished them, I rewarded myself with an incredible visit to the Isles of Scilly and then spent the rest of the birding year volunteering on Bardsey at the observatory.
Below I’ve made a collage of just a few of my favourite moments of 2016. Wildlife never fails to astound me.
